William McKinley

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 18 x 14.5, January 18, 1900. President McKinley appoints Irving W. Tyson to the position of Postmaster of Schuylkill, Pennsylvania. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by McKinley, and countersigned by the Postmaster General. Matted with a portrait of McKinley, to an overall size of 36.5 x 21. In very good condition, with bisecting folds, light wrinkling and toning, with some heavier toning around seal, and some light surface loss under seal. The top right corner of the mat is also creased. Oversized. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
