Akihito (born 1933) served as Emperor of Japan from 1989 to the present. He married his wife, Empress Michiko (born 1934) in 1959. Two vintage 6 x 9 matte finish photos, both signed in paint brush in Japanese. A couple of creases to Akihito’s photo, as well as some light silvering, otherwise fine condition.
