Two items: a hand-corrected 8.5 x 11 draft of an Apollo 12 mission summary report, with about sixteen handwritten corrections in Bean’s hand, and a finished copy of the same letter, numbered by Bean as 2 of 5, dated October 20, 1997, signed by Bean, adding “Lunar Module Pilot, Apollo 12.” The copy reads, in part: “Thunderstorms were present during liftoff, and climbing through 45,000 feet our spacecraft was struck twice by lightning…We made two moonwalks…exploring the lunar surface, obtaining rocks that might unravel some of the mysteries of that ancient and alien world….” In very fine condition.
