Founder of IBM, he built it into one of the most powerful companies in the world, was one of the richest men of his time and called the world’s greatest salesman when he died. Two items: FDC, with a cachet honoring the Boy Scouts of America, signed in black ink; and a one page TLS, signed “Thos. J. Watson,” dated April 20, 1964, acknowledging the signature on the FDC. Also accompanied by a letter from Watson’s son, dated 1964, to the same recipient.
