George Bernard Shaw

Nobel Prize–winning Irish dramatist and critic (1856–1950) who takes a place among the most distinguished and influential literary figures of his time. ALS signed “G. Bernard Shaw,” one page, 3.5 x 5.5, on the reverse of his personal correspondence card, November 27, 1930. Brief letter to F. B. Czarnowski at the Polish Embassy. In full: “I am sorry I could not come on Friday. I was obliged to go down to Elstrec to see a film of one of my plays. How did Col. Blois like the opera?” Shaw also hand-addresses the panel on reverse. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light soiling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
