Bank check, 5 x 2, filled out and signed by Clymer, payable to CD or Bearer for $20.00, September 10, 1804. A vertical notation in another hand across the check reads, “Cancelled & given as an autograph.” Check is affixed to a 7.5 x 2.75 off-white piece of heavier stock, which is in turn affixed to a slightly larger black sheet. In fine condition, with scattered light toning from adhesive on reverse, light show-through from notations on reverse, and a couple wrinkles to right side.
