Description

Joseph Lister

British surgeon (1827–1912) who pioneered the practice of sterile surgery, one of the most important medical advances of the day. His name later became synonymous with a best-selling brand of antiseptic mouthwash. ALS, one page, 4.5 x 7, November 4, 1890. Brief thank you letter. In part, “Please accept my best thanks for your kind enclosure.” Mounted to a same-size card, with scattered soiling and toning (primarily to top and right edge), otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
