Description

Williams writes of his scary travel companion: “He is attracted to sinister places”

Interesting TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, Key West, January 11, 1977. Williams writes to Alan Fox, in part: “I always preface a letter on this stationery by assuring the correspondent that I didn’t choose it myself…I’m sorry I can’t invite you to visit me in Florida as I could certainly use some entertaining company right now, but I am leaving for New Orleans in a couple of days and then up country to Manhattan perhaps we could meet up there…I’ll probably be alone as my friend is having a vacation in Vera Cruz, Mexico. He is attracted to sinister places—when we were there together I hesitated to leave the hotel.” Accompanied by an unsigned book portrait. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
