Two items: a fountain pen signature, “George Gershwin,” on a 3.25 x .75 slip clipped from a check; and a blue ballpoint signature and inscription on a 6.75 x 4 sheet, with Gershwin’s letterhead, dated December 4, 1954, “Every good wish to Robert R. Oppel of Belman, N. J., from Ira Gershwin of Beverly Hills, Calif.” In overall very good condition, with punch holes, stamp cancellation, and a stain touching George’s signature, and staining from moderate mounting remnants to reverse of Ira’s signature.
