Four original sepia carte-de-visites of European royals on both sides of a 9 x 6 photograph mat. One side bears images of Edward VII and Alexandra, signed in ink under their respective images, “Albert Edward 1862,” and “Alexandra 1862”; reverse bears images of Princess Victoria and Friedrich Wilhelm Nikolaus Karl (later Frederick III), and signed “Victoria,” and “Friedrich Wilhelm.” Consignor indicates these came from the boyhood collection of Leopold, Duke of Albany, youngest son of Queen Victoria. In fine condition, with some scattered light toning and soiling to mat. RRAuction COA.
