K[ent] Kane, Fridtjof Nansen, W[infield] S[cott] Schley, Vilhjalmur Stefansson, and Sven Hedin on individual off-white cards and slips ranging in size from 4 x 2.5 to 3 x 2; an ALS, signed “Sven Hedin,” on the correspondence side of a 4 x 6 postcard featuring his portrait, Hedin signing again on the front, “Sven Hedin, 1950”; an ALS, one page, 5 x 8.5, October 18, 1930, on Great Northern Hotel letterhead, Chicago, responding to a collector’s autograph request, signed at the closing, “Frederick A. Cook;” and a commemorative postal cover with a stamped cachet honoring the bicentennial of George Washington, signed in fountain pen on the front, “Hubert Wilkins.” Accompanied by five unsigned FDCs honoring the respective explorer(s) pictured, a 6 x 9 book photo of Cook, and six informational presentation sheets.
