Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1742–1798). In 1789, he became one of the original nine justices appointed by Washington to the Supreme Court. Ink docketing signature, “James Wilson,” on an off-white 8.5 x 3 slip, removed from a larger document, also signed on the reverse by Mary and Brad Wilson. Some mild light toning and soiling, a couple small pencil notations, and two vertical folds, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
