James Monroe

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 14 x 9, August 6, 1823. President Monroe grants Job Matthews 160 acres of land in Indiana. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Monroe, and countersigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. Several vertical folds, scattered toning, soiling, and foxing, adhesive remnants to three corners, and a red pencil notation to bottom, otherwise very good. The seal is worn and toned, but intact. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
