Original revised shooting script for the United States Golf Association film entitled Inside Golf House, 8.5 x 11, 20 pages, dated October 21, 1955. Signed on the front cover in ballpoint by Robert T. Jones, Jr., Ben Hogan, Francis Ouimet, Gene Sarazen (fountain pen signature), Findlay S. Douglas (1898 amateur champion and president of the USGA 1929-1930), Margaret Curtis (golfing and tennis champion), Chick Evans (leading amateur golfer of the 1910s and 1920s, the first amateur to win the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur in one year in 1916), who adds a short inscription to Joanne, Glenna Collett Vare (Hall of Fame golfing champion whom the Hall calls the greatest female golfer of her day), and Lindsey Nelson (Assistant Sports Director of NBC). All signatures were acquired by the script girl who worked on the documentary, and has remained in her possession ever since. USGA Journal and Turf Management described this film in its February 1956 issue: “The cast, quite probably the most distinguished ever gathered together for a golf film, had won jointly thirty-one USGA Championships and innumerable other golf titles here and abroad. They guide the audience through the interesting historical exhibits in ‘Golf House’…reminisce over some of their own clubs and trophies and to view again, with the audience, newsreels portraying dramatic parts they played in golf history.” Old staple to top left, small tear to top edge, not affecting any signatures, and some scattered light toning, otherwise fine condition.
