The only colonial governor to side with the Americans during the Revolutionary War (1710–1785). Partly-printed DS, signed “Jono. Trumbull,” one page, 12.5 x 7.25, May 10, 1799. Trumbull appoints Andrew Huntington to the position of “Judge of our Court of Probate.” Signed at the bottom by Trumbull, and countersigned by Samuel Wyllys. In fine condition, with three vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, and some scattered light toning. RRAuction COA.
