Vintage glossy 8 x 7.25 candid photo of a fur-clad Hendrix with a European police escort amid a throng of photographers and fans, signed in black felt tip, “Jimi Hendrix,” and also signed “Love from Gerry” [Gerry Stickells, Hendrix’s road manager]. The reverse bears the date January 29, 1967 and the notation “En Hålsning från Agneta” [evidently alluding to the original recipient]. On the same date, Hendrix opened for The Who during a famous performance at the Saville Theatre in London. In very good condition, with trimmed edges, moderate all over creasing, and small tape remnants to reverse. A desirable prize from this most celebrated of music legends!
