Lunar module pilot (born 1933) for the Apollo 8 mission, the first lunar orbit mission, in December 1968. His photo “Earthrise” became one of the most recognizable images taken during the Apollo program. Vintage 8 x 10 NASA photo of Anders, dressed in a jacket and tie and holding a model rocket, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint “To Joe, Many thanks for all your help, Bill Anders ‘68.” Light to moderate contrast to signature and inscription, and a few light surface impressions, otherwise fine condition.
