Vintage, matte-finish 8 x 10 signed and inscribed photo. IBM founder Thomas J. Watson (1874-1956) once said, “All the problems of the world could be settled easily if men were only willing to think.” Featured here is a thought-provoking image picturing the legendary business man, who declares by fixing himself to this somber pose a point of which he sought to make the world well aware—think! Surrounded by a bevy of books in his no doubt well-organized study, the savvy entrepreneur sits below a sign showcasing the word “THINK,” as he peers into the camera’s lens. Watson inscribed the piece, “To Thomas K. Boyce, with best wishes from Thos. J. Watson 2/15/53.” The interesting memento exhibits fine condition with only a paperclip impression along the top edge. Accompanied by a 1953 TLS from Watson’s office that acknowledges the photograph. RRAuction COA.
