In part: “Although I have a rule not to send signed photographs to people whom I do not know I note that you have succeeded in obtaining the photographs of so many senior Allied officers that I will follow their example and make an exception.”; and the aforementioned vintage 7.25 x 10 lightweight portrait photo, signed in the lower border in black ink.
