Two items: TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Eastern Air Lines letterhead, dated August 14, 1950. Rickenbacker responds to a question regarding jets. In part: “Regarding the effect of the jet plane on the American aviation industry, my beliefs are fairly well covered in the speech I made last October 13…Also, enclosed is the autographed photograph which you requested.”; and a vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Rickenbacker, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “With my best wishes to ‘Thomas K. Boyce’ Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker.” In fine condition, with some mild rippling to vertical edge of photo, and some irregular ink adhesion to signature and inscription. RRAuction COA.
