German right-wing conservative politician, active in the state of Bavaria (1862-1934). On June 30, 1934, known as the Night of the Long Knives, Kahr was punished for his "treason" during the Beer Hall Putsch. He was abducted in Munich and murdered by SS members - hacked to death with axes and thrown into a swamp near Dachau. ALS signed “G. vn Kahr,” one page, 6.25 x 9.5, April 28, 1927.
