Original unsigned sketches, on an off-white 5 x 8 sheet. Offered here is an incredibly unique and thoughtful article of Americana: this item showcases the sketch-work of actor Marlon Brando (1924-2004). On one side of the off-white sheet, the movie legend drew with ballpoint pen the shoulder-length portrait image of a bespectacled, middle-aged man who bears somewhat of a stern disposition. We believe this figure to be actor’s artistic interpretation of his character, Adam Steiffel, from the 1980 film, The Formula. On the reverse, the observer views the extreme close-up image of yet another man’s face (this penciled likeness is perhaps a self-portrait, as well). The piece carries a touch of toning, a few faint bends, and file holes along the bottom edge, yet boasts fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. RRAuction COA.
