Attractively double-matted and framed within this 11.75 x 14.75 display is an alluring 6 x 9 photograph signed by its famed subject: Amelia Earhart (1897–declared deceased in 1939). The “queen of the skies” is shown wearing her full-body leather flight suit, as she waves from atop her aircraft. Earhart’s autograph was carefully signed to the left of her image, and despite the lighter contrast in the pilot’s surname (due to irregular ink flow), the black fountain pen signature exhibits impressive potency against the still-glossy medium. To be sure, very good condition prevails in this vintage memento, which remains an attractive showpiece notwithstanding a small tear near the top of the photo and some scattered, yet light surface marks.
