Detailed original felt tip sketch of a victorious Ali, his arms outstretched in victory, standing over a fallen Mike Tyson before a capacity crowd, on a light brown 10 x 8 piece of cardboard, signed and inscribed “To Mike From Muhammad Ali, 3 time Heavy Weight [sic] Champion of the World. And the Greatest Boxer of all time, after there will never be another,” Ali adding the date “11-14-88” under the sketch. To the right of the ring, Ali’s first trainer, Joe Martin, has added a notation in blue ballpoint: “Cash Clay was started by Joe Martin his 1st trainer. First fight & put him on T.V. [at] weight 89 lbs. Joe Martin.” In fine condition. A most unusual and detailed sketch clearly demonstrating Ali’s own belief in his enduring supremacy even decades after his retirement.
