Original unsigned red felt tip doodle and notations by John Lennon on an 8 x 7 sheet of off-white memo paper, circa 1969. Lennon writes the titles of several short films he created with Yoko Ono, including Rape (December 1968), Two Virgins (August-September 1968), Smile (August 1968), and You Are Here (the title of an art exhibition held on July 1, 1968). “You Are Here” is also the title of a song on Lennon’s 1973 Mind Games album. He has also written “Smile” two times and “RA,” then crossed them out. Beneath his notations are nicely detailed facial caricatures of himself and Yoko Ono. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo. The item was originally in the collection of noted “Apple Scruff” Lizzie Bravo. In very fine condition. Lennon’s caricatures during this period are much more detailed than those he produced in the 1970s. JSA/Roger Epperson (REAL) Auction LOA and RRAuction COA.
