I’m glad you liked the Jack Carson show. I’ve must returned from M.C.’ing the Press Show in Cleveland, and while i was gone my parents arrived in town to spend the holidays here with me. Rehearsals for ‘The Rope’ will not start till January, since they are still trying to cast the rest of the picture. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and a very happy New Year….” In the following year, Stewart costarred in Alfred Hitchock’s Rope, inspired by the Leopold and Loeb murder case, with Farley Granger and John Dall.
