Impressive archive of 30 documents related to the history of Haiti, 1810–1985, including letters or documents signed by Henri Christophe, Toussaint L’Ouverture, Tancrede August, Jean Pierre Boyer, Joseph Davilmar Theodore, Faustin I, Tirésias Augustin Simon Sam, F. Hyppolite, Sudre Dartiguenave, Lysius Salomon, Elie Lescot, Francois Legitime, Oreste Zamor, Francois C. Antoine Simon, Michel Domingue, Fabre Geffrard, Louis Borno, Jean-Louis Pierrot, Pierre Nord Alexis, Jean Vibrun Guillaume Sam, Cincinnatus Leconte, Pierre Theoma Boisrand-Canal, Nissage Saget, Alexandre Petion, J. C. Duvalier, and Jean-Baptiste Riche. In fair to fine condition, with scattered toning, soiling, staining, tears, chips, and handling wear (the faults roughly in proportion to the age of the documents; affecting a few signatures).
