In part: “One of the most prominent citizens of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Gus Backman, who happens to be one of my very best friends, will be in London in the near future and I am taking the liberty of referring her to you while she is there in the hope that you may have the opportunity to render her some small service which will make her stay in London more pleasant.” Gus Backman served as executive secretary of the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
