In part: “I am honored that you wish to include me in your ‘Treasury of People and Things to Remember’ and am pleased to enclose some material on the historic Viking Mission to Mars as well as an autographed photo of the surface of the Red Planet which I hope you and yours will find of interest.” Also: a color 11 x 8.5 photo of the Martian surface taken by the Viking lander, signed in black ballpoint, “With best wishes, Carl Sagan.” Light border creases and edge tears to photo, otherwise fine condition.
