Issue of the Radford Center [Iowa] Star News, no date, bearing the banner headline “The Chautaugua [sic] Week Is Here,” signed in black felt tip between two words of the headline. According to the consignor, the fictitious newspaper was used as a prop on the set of the 1969 Western Charro!, starring Presley, and the signature was originally obtained by a man who worked on the production. [The provenance of the newspaper as a prop is well supported by the nonsensical and incomplete nature of most of the stories, as well as the blatant misspelling in the main headline.] Expected light toning, light handling wear, and vertical crease, otherwise fine condition.
