I will not fear what man doeth unto me.” Accompanied by a slightly larger envelope upon which Doyle’s son, Adrian Conan Doyle, has penned “Envelope found in my father’s wallet. The inscription is remarkable.” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s wallet was carried by him in his attache case. Doyle described himself as a spiritualist and theist, a believer in one God. In a New York Times article of April 9, 1922, it was reported that Doyle “believed that only the ones we loved on this earth would be able to meet us in the hereafter.
