In 1983 Vaughan released his debut album, Texas Flood. In the following year, he released Couldn’t Stand the Weather, a commercial and critical success. He continued to tour and record until his death in a 1990 helicopter crash at the age of 35. Ticket stub from Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at the Redding Civic Auditorium on December 29, 1987, 3 x 1.5, signed on the reverse in blue ballpoint “All the best, Stevie Ray Vaughan.” The stub is featured on the cover of the October 2006 issue of Autograph Collector magazine, as well as in the four-page article about Vaughan. In fine condition, with scattered light creases (mildly affecting a few letters of signature and sentiment) and a rough left edge. Great item with powerful and impressive provenance.
