Unsigned flight chart in Lindbergh’s hand, written in pencil on a lightly lined canary 12.5 x 8 legal sheet, captioned in ink at lower right in an unknown hand “This by C. A. L.” The chart is removably presented on a mount with an informational tag that reads as follows: “This chart was drawn by Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh during meeting with Lt. Cmdr. Philip Weems at Hotel Astor, NY. Lindbergh gave Weems specifics with regard to his navigation techniques employed during the 1933 Atlantic flight. This represents the line of flight from Bathu[r]st, Africa to Natal, South America. Meeting at Hotel Astor—2 Jan. 1934.” The flight in question was part of an extended air survey tour in late 1933; the leg from Santiago to Bathurst to Natal took place from November 27 to December 6 of that year.
