In part: “To protect your mother’s interests I advise you to have her sign the enclosed. She has some debts around Amherst, if any one should take to a notion to trustee me I could not pay her the money. I would have her sign this paper at once and have it witnessed than I can pay the money to you when the time comes….” Mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition.
