John Blair

John Blair (1731–1800) was a politician, delegate to the Constitutional Convention, and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (1790–1795). Peyton Randolph (1721–1775) was the first President of the Continental Congress. Engraved five-pound note issued by colonial Virginia, 6.5 x 4.75, March 4, 1773, signed in ink “Peyton Randolph” and “John Blair.” Light scattered creasing and toning, otherwise fine condition.
