Nobel Prize–winning, Italian-born engineer (1874–1937) whose development of “wireless telegraphy,” better known to the world at large as radio, would come to exert a profound and immeasurable influence not only on communications, but on modern civilization itself. Matte-finish 7.75 x 11.25 photo of Marconi on the deck of a ship, signed “Guglielmo Marconi,” inscribed in Italian, and dated 1936.
