Official San Francisco Seals baseball signed in blue ink on the sweet spot by Joe DiMaggio, signed and inscribed on the adjoining side panel in fountain pen, “To Dorothy, Best wishes from ‘Lefty’ O’Doul 2/17/40,” and signed in fountain pen on another side panel by Dom DiMaggio. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the son of the original recipient, stating all three signatures were acquired in a San Francisco restaurant in 1940.
