Partly printed DS, signed “Victoria R.,” one page on vellum, 13.25 x 9.25, December 6, 1843. A commission for Robert Bruce as second lieutenant in the Twenty-third Regiment of Foot. Two embossed seals remain intact in the left margin. In very good condition, with heavy vertical folds and scattered toning and soiling (touching signature but not affecting legibility).
