Meisner writes, “Put me on a highway and show me a sign, and take it to the limit one more time.” Signed at the bottom in black felt tip by Meisner. It was the first and only A-side of a single on which Meisner sang lead while with the band. It was also the first time neither Don Henley nor Glenn Frey sang lead on the A-side of a single.
