Original artwork for a one-panel political cartoon captioned “Let’s be like the Republicans and select the best candidate among us,” featuring a multitude of Harry S. Trumans and a donkey watching television, ink and crayon on a heavy textured off-white sheet, 10 x 15, June 24, 1948, signed at lower left “Rube Goldberg.” Mild scattered soiling and a few light stains (mostly confined to margins and easily matted out), otherwise fine condition.
