In full: “In accordance with the terms made through the cuts committee, I am hereby terminating my run-of-the-play contract and tendering my two week notice. This would terminate my engagement in ‘The Wind Is Ninety’ on August 4, 1945.” The play in question ran for 108 performances on Broadway at the Booth Theatre from June 21 to September 22, 1945.
