Cartoonist (1884–1964) best known as the creator of the enormously popular and durable strip Toonerville Folks, which ran from 1913 to 1955. Original sketch of the Toonerville Trolley and the Skipper, ink and pencil on an off-white 6.25 x 4 sheet, signed “Fontaine Fox.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 10 x 7.5. Bisecting vertical fold (touching last name) and a very subtle hint of soiling, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
