His political prowess and enlightened attitudes toward religion, learning, and the humanities earned him the sobriquet “Frederick the Great.” LS in German, signed “F.,” one page, 7.5 x 9.25, October 1753. Frederick writes to his privy counselor. In part (translated): “Look into the circumstances of the petitioner and report to me whether the concession can be granted….” Removably presented on a collector’s sheet with images and historical information, including a vintage postcard and postage stamps.
