Popular Austrian composer (1870–1948) of “light” classical music, best known for his operetta, “The Merry Widow.” AMQS on an off-white 6.75 x 4 sheet of his personal letterhead, eight measures from the “Merry Widow Waltz,” identified in Hungarian, signed “F. Lehar” and indistinctly dated at the top edge [Wien, 1926?]. Matted to an overall size of 11.25 x 8.75. In very good condition, with scattered soiling and mild staining, light handling wear with a few small creases and pinholes, and a few words indistinct as noted. R&R COA.
