Description

Scottish-born scientist and inventor (1847–1922) who conceived the telephone, founded the Bell Telephone Company, and invented various devices for aiding the deaf.  TLS, one page, 5.5 x 7.5, Beinn Bhreagh letterhead, June 26, 1917. In full: “Your note of May 7 has been forwarded to me at my Summer home, and it gives me pleasure to hand you my autograph hereon, as you request.” Some mounting residue showing through from the reverse and some light toning, otherwise fine condition.
