American radio announcer and actor (1914–1996) best known for his unforgettable role as the extraterrestrial Eros in the 1959 schlock classic Plan 9 from Outer Space. Two items: 1992 TLS to a fan, sending an autograph and asking where his address was obtained, signed “D. D. M.”; and an ink signature, “Dudley D. Manlove,” on a cream 6 x 4 card with small, lightly affixed vintage photo. Light wrinkling and handling wear to letter, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
