Vintage ink signature, “James Franck, University of Chicago, Chicago, 23 Oct. 51,” on a cream 5.5 x 3.5 card with affixed magazine photo. The original recipient, Dr. Adolf Leichtle, was a former member of the Nazi SA (aka Brown Shirts or Stormtroopers). Accompanied by the original mailing envelope (postmarked 1951), several clippings, and a collector’s catalogue card (presumably in Leichtle’s hand). In fine condition. R&R COA.
