TLS, one page, 4.25 x 7.5, black-bordered (mourning) Prime Minister letterhead, April 4, 1952. Brief letter of thanks to Secretary of the Navy Dan Kimball. In full, “I am obliged to you for sending me such a fine cigar lighter which will indeed be most useful. Pray accept my thanks for this agreeable gift.” Churchill pens the greeting in his own hand, as well as a closing sentiment, “Yours sincerely.” Matted with a pre-printed quote and signature attributed to Churchill, to an overall size of 15.5 x 14. Some scattered light toning to letter, otherwise fine condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
