Glossy 8 x 10 photo (affixed to a same-sized sheet) of Houdini performing a straitjacket escape while suspended upside-down from a crane, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To F. W. Brown, Best wishes, Houdini, May 9, 1925.” In very good condition, with mounting as noted (subtle rippling), scattered dings and surface marks (mainly to background), a few small creases, cracks, and chips, blot to first digit of date, and image slightly grainy. Many of the faults can easily be minimized with proper matting and framing and most, in any event, do not materially detract from the overall appearance. Signed images of Houdini in mid-performance are quite elusive. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
