ALS signed “R.R.,” 6 x 9, February 1967. Just weeks after taking the oath of office, California Governor Ronald Reagan handwrites a personal letter in response to a question about his genealogy. In part: “My father was orphaned at age 3 and knew little of his family other than that they hailed from County Cork, Ireland…Some Reagans in Texas have been on the trail of a possible relationship which would be born out if my grandfather was the John Reagan…with a relationship to the famous Texas Sen. John Reagan.” In fine condition, with some light toning to right side from small stain on reverse. R&R COA.
